Tamworth was hectic this year with Corn Liquor having some very successful gigs and Buzz Talay performing with not only Corn Liquor and Megan Cooper but also headlining himself with some country and even a little bluegrass thrown in ! Bass player Tony Black was popular with the ladies as demonstrated here with two lovely and fun girls from Melbourne who only referred to themselves as “Thelma & Louise”. I think we will have to hire security for Tony next year 😉
Buzz Talay’s new album “Drinking Muddy Water” promises to be a great album and there has been a lot of inquiries about when it will be available for sale. Even more so since it started screening on Foxtel’s Country Music Channel. Put your name on the list and we’ll notify you as the distribution rolls out. See More….
It is an exciting time in the studio this month with the production of several film clips of Swamphog for YouTube. We used four cameras at different angles for live recording. Thanks goes out to Bolly for helping in the film crew. After we finish edit and production it will be a good representation of Swamphog playing awesome tunes live.
Buzz Talay’s album Drinking Muddy Water is proceeding well with at least a few tracks ready for final mastering.

Corn Liquor enjoyed a warm welcome at Mud, Bulls & Music Festival near Kilcoy in Queensland last weekend, warming up the crowd for the likes of O’Shea, James Blundell, Jasmine Rae, Catherine Britt and Lee Kernaghan. The boys were that keen they left the “VIP” camping area to hold an impromptu (and free!)concert in the general camping area. Paul and Kerianne Edwards of Bell let the boys set up under one of their marquees and Corn Liquor entertained watchers and gave away some T-Shirts for a couple of hours on Friday afternoon. Yeehaa!

As promised, the much anticipated music video is now available to watch ! 🙂

For those of you that were waiting patiently for the next installment of our trip to Broken Hill, I must apologize. We are now bound under contract to keep quiet about much of that information. Maybe some of you were lucky enough to read the overview before I took it down  😉
Never the less, the music clip is finished and will be on YouTube very soon. Also look out for it in the next few months on Country Music Australia. I will keep you posted on both. Thanks to everyone who has bought the album and single, it is great to see independent artists getting support.
Hello peoples. We had hoped to keep a running update going while on the road and shooting the Menindee Sky video. However there was so much to do, the mobile signal was weak and intermittent, and we realized it would be better to wait until we got back to start publishing the details. So watch this space…. 🙂
Today was supposed to be an early start but routine checks revealed a bolt holding the alternator on needed replacing. At 5am our only parts resource was the bus itself and luckily, Bolly (our bus driver) managed to find one from the back of the bus that we could use. So only a little later than we had hoped we drove to the fuel station to fill up, get some munchies and headed off. The day had not finished throwing curve balls at us though and before long a bush on the gearstick collapsed and the gearstick detached from the gearbox. It didn’t look good for a while until our flight attendant aka Macgyver aka Buzz Talay managed to fashion some metal and plastic he found on the side of the road into suitable parts and re-attached our gearstick. So we finally made it to Nyngan around lunch. Let’s hope we get a good run this afternoon !
We have processed the release of the album ‘Postcard from Where’ by Buzz Talay and it should be online and available for digital download within a couple of days. The website to get it from is www.cdbaby.com. Within a few weeks it will also filter through to other sites like iTunes but if you purchase it at CDBaby the artist and writers get a better percentage of the money than other sites, so please, help support the industry. Each track can also be purchased individually and all of them will have previews for you to hear. CDBaby has several payment options but most people will use either PayPal (a very safe way to buy) or credit cards. If you wish to purchase the album on CD, just email us (on the contact page) and we can work out a payment method and will ship it out to you.
The album features 8 songs, one of which is a bonus track of the single Menindee Sky which is being released during the trip to Broken Hill and Menindee (which is) when we are shooting the music video for it as well.
The full song list is;
- Headin’ Home
- Romantic Cowboy
- Johnnie & Annie
- Wild Horses
- Still In Love
- Big Iron Lady
- Won’t Let Go
- Menindee Sky
Just a reminder that Menindee Sky will be the first single released from BlushPunk Production`s up–coming Australian feature film Chasing Jon due for release in 2014.
