Well people… the Chasing Jon bus is painted and ready to make the epic trip down to Broken Hill. It will be leaving early in the morning and the trip should take 2 days. We will endeavor to post some updates but the best way to follow the excitement will be through Buzz’s Facebook as we will use that forum to post lots of photos etc. If you aren’t friends with Buzz Talay on Facebook, send him a friend request and if you aren’t on Facebook we will try and keep this website up to date as much as we can while on the road and/or busy. It should be a lot of fun, so stay tuned ! 🙂

Last month we had sisters Shavonne (12) and Shakira (10) gaining some valuable experience in the recording studio. Both girls had also been working with another talented song writer and performer Josh Arnold in the production of a CD called ‘Tara Shines’ which celebrates the centenary of the Tara Shire State School. The album was written by Josh and the students of the Tara school. Since then Josh in collaboration with The University of Southern Queensland has launched a new record label named Small Town Culture and has begun releasing music video clips on You Tube performed by students from outback Queensland. Shavonne, who was a finalist in a song writing competition has recently released a music video of that song called ‘Livin’ In The Country’. Shavonne was a guest on Toowoomba radio and also made the front page of the Toowoomba Newspaper ‘The Chronicle’ with Josh. Show the young song writer some support and watch the video below 🙂 The young guitarist is Jack Conlan and Shakira is adding some percussion.

It has been very busy at Buzzard Productions over the last month so I’ll just quickly give readers a recap to bring you up to date. Buzz Talay, Corn Liquor, Mikaela Adams and Swamp Hog have all rehearsed in the studio. Mikaela and Buzz both finished some pre-production recordings of the singles Menindee Sky (Buzz Talay & Belinda Adams) and Dare To Dream (Mikaela & Belinda Adams) for the up-coming Australian movie Chasing Jon. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Chasing Jon, it is an inspirational Australian film about a small town country girl from Broken Hill that has success because she dared to follow her dreams. Last week saw Buzz, Mikaela and Buzzard Production’s musicians Dessie J Johnson (drums), Tony Black (bass) and Pedlar Staines (guitar) over at Lush Studios in Brisbane for the final production recording of Menindee Sky and Dare To Dream. Also we must mention the other very talented musicians involved; Laura Tyler (violin), Alex Frank (cello), Dave Mibus (keys) and Golden Guitar winner Pixie Jenkins (fiddle). A big hello to Lush’s Sound Engineer Ric Parker who did an awesome job. Everyone had a great time. We’ll post some photos hopefully later today.
The next stage of this production is a trip with Belinda and Buzz to Broken Hill for a Talent Quest, some filming for The Menindee Sky music video and promotions in mid August which will feature the release of the single Menindee Sky in Broken Hill, radio interviews and live performances by Buzz Talay. With the aid of mobile technology (if we get close enough to a mobile tower that is… ) we will keep you posted on this 8 day expedition into the outback. Should be awesome 😉
Welcome to Buzzard Productions. This site is currently under construction but have a look around if you want… there is some stuff already up like; the About Page, the Contact Page, the Gig Guide and the Who’s Doing What Page.
Make sure you come back again as there is plenty more to come ! 🙂
